THE ONE Competition Winner and Our First
Calvors Pub!
Wow things have been extremely busy for us here at the Calvors brewery, we haven't even been able to report our most very exciting news!
At the end of 2011 we won the East Anglian Daily Times' 'THE ONE' competition, which we were extremely happy about! Alec Williamson, Calvors Brewery owner, was named Entrepreneur of the Year for East Anglia and we were rewarded £50,000 worth of business support.

This fantastic achievement has in turn allowed us to pursue a dream of owning our own Calvors pub... and we've only gone and got one just down the road! Calvors Brewery are now working with The Rampant Horse in Needham Market, Suffolk - only a 5 minute drive from our farm, so there will be very little road miles on our four lagers, which are now all going on draught for our customers to enjoy!
The Rampant Horse will be open from midday on Saturday 31st March 2012. We hope to see you all there for a pint of Calvors or four... well you might as well try the whole set!

Find Calvors in Waitrose!
We have recently signed a deal to supply six Waitrose stores in East Anglia with our Natural lager - the supermarket's first English lager sourced from a local producer!
In stores now, our Calvors Premium English Lager (5% ABV) is available in Waitrose shops in Suffolk and the surrounding areas. Take a trip to Waitrose Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Sudbury, Wymondham, Saxmundham and Norwich to buy our bottles for a very reasonable price of £1.75 per bottle.
Waitrose have announced how pleased they are to be stocking our lager.
Oliver O' Mara, Waitrose Local and Regional Sourcing Manager, said "Being our first locally-sourced English lager we are excited to see how well it will be received by our customers and are confident it will be an instant hit. We look forward to building our relationship with Calvors as they are exactly the type of local supplier we like to work with."
At Calvors we are delighted to sign with Waitrose and look forward to working with them more in the future.
It's great to know that they appreciate the authenticity and traditional process our lager undergoes to reach the product that is on the shelves!
This will be a fantastic way to build our business and introduce our lager to a wider audience; educating more people on how real lager should taste!
